Networking for women leaders

The WIN Project provides women leaders, including peacebuilders and mediators, with opportunities to connect and share their knowledge and skills. Through the OSCE Secretary General’s Networking Platform, the project connects dozens of women peacebuilders and mediators, including from conflict-affected areas.

Gender equality perspectives in countering violent extremism

In cooperation with the OSCE Transnational Threats Department Action Against Terrorism Unit, the WIN Project generates new knowledge and innovative approaches on the nexus of gender equality and preventing and countering violent extremism and radicalization that lead to terrorism.

Strengthening capacity of women peacebuilders

With our implementing partners, the WIN Project strengthens the capacities and leadership skills of women peacebuilders from Eastern Europe, the South Caucasus and Central Asia.

OSCE Women’s Peace Leadership Programme

The OSCE Women’s Peace Leadership Programme is the first strategic deliverable of the Networking Platform for Women Leaders, including Peacebuilders and Mediators. It aims to strengthen the ability of women to meaningfully engage and influence peace processes at all levels. The promotion of women’s meaningful participation in peace and security decision-making processes at all levels is a key priority for the OSCE. The Networking Platform was launched by the OSCE Secretary General Helga Maria Schmid on December 7, 2021.

This policy brief is based on policy-focused research and interviews concerning the links between violent misogyny and violent extremism and radicalization that lead to terrorism (VERLT).

This practical toolkit is based on secondary research and a series of interviews with practitioners and subject matter experts. The toolkit aims to inspire and guide the OSCE staff at different executive structures in establishing Men for Gender Equality Groups to foster gender equality in the OSCE workplace.
